IRUSU. was born in 2019 out of a love of all things fragrant, and a commitment to the environment and supporting local and national causes. Born in Stoke Newington, London, IRUSU. is now close to family roots by the sea in Cymru / Wales.

IRUSU. Candles are produced in an environmentally conscious manner, from the sourcing of sustainable soy wax and essential oils to their packaging. (The former is manufactured in the UK.)

All of your purchases are gift-wrapped minimally but lovingly in cardboard boxes, protected with tissue paper and sealed with tape, which is all recyclable and, where possible, made from a high % of recycled materials.

If your order is a full-size duo or bigger, the candles are individually wrapped and further protected with 100% biodegradable/compostable filler manufactured in Cymru/Wales.

Additionally, a discount is available for placing an order without the resealable screw lid. Enter β€˜NOTHANKS’ at the checkout to let us know you don’t need lids, and you’ll receive 15% off any order over Β£40.

If you’d like to return your jars + lids to us, we’re now offering a 20% discount on your next order of Β£45 or over. On receipt, we’ll send you a witty personalised discount code for use at your leisure.

In January 2021, IRUSU. signed up to Ecologi, a fantastic initiative to help businesses and individuals reduce their carbon footprint. So far IRUSU. has removed 124.79 tonnes of  CO2e (the equivalent of driving over 309,604 miles in a car) from the atmosphere and planted nearly 4876 trees. Since launch, IRUSU. has donated just over Β£3400 to causes and organisations we stand with. We believe if we are fortunate enough to get it, we should help spread it. πŸ’Έ (Unlike some other things we could mention… 😷)

Donations have been sent to (note we are not officially affiliated with these organisations except NLAH whom we have a personal relationship with): Crisis At Christmas, Nafisyat Intercultural Therapy Centre, The Maya Centre - Counselling For Women and Black Minds Matter, as well as a longer term commitement to North London Action For The Homeless when we were based in London, who have received over Β£1200 to date.
